15 questionsNajem Financial is a UAE-licensed digital financial institution offering personal and business banking, savings, investments, cards, loans, and cryptocurrency services — all accessible online or via our mobile app.
Any UAE resident or citizen aged 18 and above with a valid Emirates ID or passport can apply. Non-residents with a valid visa and proof of address are also eligible for certain account types.
Visit our website, click "Open Account", complete the online form, upload your ID documents, and complete a brief video verification. Most applications are reviewed within one business day.
Yes. Najem Financial Services LLC is licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) under license FSRA-NF-2021-00847.
You will need a valid Emirates ID or passport, proof of UAE address (utility bill or tenancy contract), a selfie for identity verification, and your Tax Identification Number (TIN) if applicable.
You must be at least 18 years old to open a personal account independently. Minors may hold accounts with a parent or guardian as a joint account holder.
Yes. Joint accounts are available for up to two account holders. Both parties must complete the verification process and sign the joint account agreement.
Most accounts are approved within 24 hours. Complex applications requiring additional documentation may take up to 3 business days.

Accounts
12 questionsWe offer Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Fixed Deposit Accounts, Multi-Currency Accounts, Business Accounts, and Joint Accounts.
A current account is designed for daily transactions with no withdrawal limits. A savings account earns interest on your balance but may have monthly withdrawal limits.
Our standard current and savings accounts have no minimum balance requirement. Premium and business accounts may require a minimum monthly average balance.
Our savings accounts earn a competitive annual interest rate. Rates vary based on your account tier and balance. Current rates are displayed during account opening and in your account settings.
You can request account closure through the app or by visiting a branch. Ensure your balance is zero and all pending transactions are settled before submitting the request.
Yes. You can hold multiple account types simultaneously under your profile, with a single login to manage them all.
Accounts with no transactions for 12 months are considered dormant. You will receive prior notice by email and SMS. A small dormancy fee may apply. The account can be reactivated by contacting support.
Yes. You can download PDF or CSV statements for any date range directly from your online banking dashboard or the mobile app at no charge.
An IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is used for international transfers. You can find your IBAN in your account details section within the app or online banking.
Standard accounts have no upper deposit limit. However, large deposits may be subject to enhanced due diligence in compliance with AML regulations.
Yes. You can set up recurring automatic transfers from your current account to your savings account on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
Yes. We offer a zero-fee student account for full-time students aged 18 and above enrolled in a recognized UAE educational institution. Proof of enrollment is required.
Cards
14 questionsWe offer Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Customized Cash Rewards credit cards, Unlimited Cash Rewards credit cards, Travel Rewards credit cards, and the Najem Financial Signature Card.
Log in to your account, go to Cards → Apply for Credit Card, choose your preferred card type, and complete the application. Approval is subject to credit assessment.
The Customized Cash Rewards card lets you earn 3% cash back in a category of your choice (dining, travel, groceries, etc.) and 1% on all other purchases. No annual fee.
The Unlimited Cash Rewards card earns a flat 1.5% cash back on every purchase with no categories, no caps, and no annual fee.
The Travel Rewards card earns 1.5 points per AED spent, redeemable for flights, hotels, and travel experiences. It includes zero foreign transaction fees and airport lounge access.
The Najem Financial Signature Card is our premium offering, providing 0% intro APR for 21 billing cycles, exclusive lifestyle benefits, and priority customer service.
No. All Najem Financial consumer credit cards carry no annual fee.
You can activate your card through the mobile app under Cards → Activate Card, or via the online banking portal. Physical cards can also be activated at any Najem ATM.
Yes. You can set daily spending limits, ATM withdrawal limits, and online transaction limits for each card from the Card Controls section of your app.
Immediately freeze your card through the app under Cards → Freeze Card, then contact our fraud team at fraud@najemfi.com or call our 24/7 support line. We will issue a replacement card.
Yes. All Najem Financial cards are accepted worldwide wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted. Notify us before international travel through the app to avoid any transaction blocks.
Our Travel Rewards and Signature cards carry zero foreign transaction fees. Standard debit and cash rewards cards may incur a small foreign transaction fee.
Yes. Virtual cards are available for all account holders and can be generated instantly from the app for safer online shopping.
Go to your transaction history, select the transaction in question, and tap "Dispute Transaction". Our disputes team will investigate within 5 business days.
Transfers & Payments
11 questionsGo to Transfers → New Transfer, select the recipient's bank, enter the IBAN and amount, and confirm with your PIN or biometric. Domestic transfers settle within minutes.
International SWIFT transfers typically take 1–3 business days depending on the destination country and correspondent bank processing times.
Transfers between Najem Financial accounts are always free. Domestic bank transfers are free up to a monthly limit. International transfers carry a flat fee displayed before you confirm.
Standard accounts can transfer up to AED 50,000 per day. Premium and business account holders have higher limits. Limits can be reviewed in your account settings.
Yes. When creating a transfer, select "Schedule" and choose a future date. You can also set up recurring transfers on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
Yes. Scheduled transfers can be cancelled at any time before the processing date from the Scheduled Transfers section in the app.
IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number. It is required for all bank-to-bank transfers in the UAE and internationally. It uniquely identifies a specific bank account.
A SWIFT/BIC code identifies a bank internationally. Najem Financial's SWIFT code is NJMFAEADXXX, required by overseas banks when sending funds to your Najem account.
Yes. If the recipient is a registered Najem Financial customer, you can transfer funds using their registered phone number without needing their IBAN.
We verify recipient details before completing any transfer. If an incorrect account is entered and the transfer is processed, contact us immediately at support@najemfi.com for reversal assistance.
Receiving international SWIFT transfers into your Najem account is free. Correspondent bank fees charged by the sending bank are outside our control.
Loans & Credit
10 questionsWe offer Personal Loans, Home Loans, Auto Loans, Business Loans, and Education Loans — all with competitive rates and flexible repayment terms.
A minimum monthly salary of AED 5,000 is required for personal loan eligibility. Self-employed applicants must provide 6 months of bank statements.
You can apply online through the app or website, visit any branch, or schedule a virtual appointment. Complete the application, upload required documents, and receive a decision within 24 hours.
Personal loan rates start from 3.99% per annum (flat rate). The exact rate offered depends on your credit profile, salary, and loan term. Rates are displayed during your application.
Personal loan repayment terms range from 6 months to 48 months. Home loans can be repaid over up to 25 years.
We charge a small early settlement fee on personal loans if repaid within the first 12 months. After 12 months, early repayment is fee-free.
Yes, subject to your debt-to-burden ratio not exceeding 50% of your monthly income as per UAE Central Bank guidelines.
Personal loans are available up to AED 500,000. Home loans go up to AED 5,000,000. Business loans are assessed individually.
An initial soft inquiry does not affect your credit score. A formal credit check is conducted only once you proceed with a full application, which may have a minor temporary impact.

Savings & Investments
10 questionsWe offer Standard Savings Accounts, High-Yield Savings Accounts, Fixed Deposit Accounts (1 month to 5 years), and IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts).
A Fixed Deposit (FD) account holds your money for a set term at a guaranteed interest rate. At maturity, you receive your principal plus the accrued interest.
Fixed Deposit rates range from 3.5% to 6.2% per annum depending on the term and deposit amount. Rates are locked in at the time of opening.
Early withdrawal is permitted but may result in a reduced interest rate or penalty. The exact terms are outlined in your FD agreement at the time of opening.
The minimum amount to open a Fixed Deposit is AED 5,000 or equivalent in foreign currency.
Yes. We offer managed investment portfolios, mutual fund access, and wealth management consultation through our Najem Wealth division.
Investments are not covered by deposit protection schemes. However, all investment products are offered through FSRA-regulated channels and subject to full disclosure requirements.
Yes. Savings Goals let you set a target, select a monthly contribution amount, and track your progress. Contributions are automated on your chosen date.

Yes. Cryptocurrency markets operate around the clock. You can buy, sell, and transfer crypto at any time through the app.
A small transaction fee applies to all crypto purchases and sales. The fee is displayed transparently before you confirm any transaction.
Yes. Customer crypto assets are held in segregated cold storage wallets with multi-signature security. We do not commingle customer and company funds.
Yes. You can withdraw supported cryptocurrencies to any external wallet address. Standard network fees (gas fees) apply.
We support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, USDC, BNB, Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and 20+ additional coins. The full list is available in the Crypto section of the app.
Our crypto services operate under the FSRA's Virtual Asset Regulatory Framework (VARAF). All crypto transactions are subject to AML and KYC compliance requirements.
Currently, our crypto feature supports buying, selling, holding, and transferring digital assets. Direct crypto payments for goods are not yet supported but are on our roadmap.
Tax obligations depend on your country of residence. We recommend consulting a tax advisor. Najem Financial provides detailed transaction history reports to assist with tax filings.
Security & Privacy
10 questionsWe use 256-bit SSL encryption, biometric authentication, two-factor authentication (2FA), real-time fraud monitoring, and AI-powered anomaly detection to protect every account.
2FA requires you to verify your identity using both your password and a one-time code sent to your registered phone or email. It is strongly recommended and enabled by default.
Immediately change your password, freeze your cards through the app, and contact our security team at security@najemfi.com or call our 24/7 support line.
No. Najem Financial staff will never ask for your full password, PIN, or OTP codes via phone, email, or any other channel. Never share these details with anyone.
Phishing is when fraudsters impersonate Najem Financial to steal your credentials. Always verify emails are from @najemfi.com, never click suspicious links, and report phishing attempts to fraud@najemfi.com.
Select the transaction in your history and tap "Report Suspicious Activity", or contact our fraud team directly at fraud@najemfi.com or via in-app chat.

Yes. Biometric authentication is available for all compatible iOS and Android devices. Enable it in Settings → Security → Biometric Login.
Your account is automatically locked after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. You will receive an email notification and can unlock via the "Forgot Password" flow.
Yes. We are fully compliant with UAE Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations. All transactions are monitored in line with FSRA and Central Bank requirements.
Fees & Charges
10 questionsStandard personal accounts have no monthly maintenance fees. Premium and business accounts may have a monthly fee, which is waived when a minimum average balance is maintained.
Withdrawals at Najem Financial ATMs are always free. Withdrawals at other UAE bank ATMs incur a small fee. International ATM withdrawals carry a standard fee plus any charges levied by the local ATM operator.
Transfers between Najem Financial accounts are free. Domestic outward transfers to other UAE banks are free up to your monthly limit, after which a small fee applies.
International SWIFT transfers carry a flat fee of AED 25–75 depending on the destination. The exact fee is displayed before you confirm the transfer.
A foreign exchange margin applies to currency conversions. The rate and margin are shown transparently at the time of conversion.
Standard card replacement due to expiry is free. Replacement for lost or stolen cards carries a small fee. Emergency card replacement with expedited delivery may cost more.
Standard reference letters and No Objection Certificates (NOC) are available free of charge for active customers. Urgent or notarized documents may carry an administrative fee.
Electronic statements are always free. Printed and mailed statements carry a small fee per statement.

Compliance & Regulation

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance ensures that the banking system is not used to conceal the proceeds of illegal activities. Najem Financial monitors all transactions in accordance with UAE and FSRA AML regulations.
Transactions may be flagged for compliance review based on amount, frequency, or destination. This is standard procedure. You may be asked to provide supporting documentation.
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) sets international standards for combating money laundering. As a regulated institution, Najem Financial adheres to all FATF recommendations.
Under CRS (Common Reporting Standard) and FATCA regulations, certain account information may be shared with relevant tax authorities. We comply fully with all international tax reporting obligations.
FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) is a US law requiring foreign financial institutions to report accounts held by US persons. If you are a US citizen or tax resident, your account may be subject to FATCA reporting.
In line with UAE law, we are required to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) for any transaction suspected of being linked to money laundering or financial crime.
