Which devices are supported by the mobile app?

The Najem Financial app is available for iPhone running iOS 14 or later, and Android phones running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later. This covers the vast majority of smartphones purchased in the last 5-6 years. Tablet support is available on iPad (iPadOS 14+) though the app is optimised primarily for phone-sized screens.

How does biometric login work and is it safe?

Biometric login uses your phone's built-in Face ID (iPhone) or fingerprint sensor to verify your identity. Critically, your biometric data — your face scan or fingerprint — never leaves your device and is never stored on our servers. We simply receive a cryptographic confirmation from your device that authentication succeeded. It's both more secure and more convenient than a password.

Does the app use a lot of mobile data?

No — the Najem Financial app is engineered to be extremely data-efficient. A typical session (checking your balance, reviewing recent transactions, making a transfer) uses less than 500KB of mobile data. Even heavy users — those who check the app multiple times per day — typically consume less than 10MB per month through the app.

What should I do if my phone is lost or stolen?

Act immediately — log in to Online Banking from any computer or another device, navigate to Security Settings, and select "Manage App Access." You can revoke access for any individual device with a single click, which will immediately log out any active session on that phone and clear all locally-cached data. You can also call our 24/7 security hotline and we'll do it for you right away.

Can the app do everything the website can?

The mobile app covers the full set of everyday banking tasks: balance checks, transfers, bill pay, mobile deposit, spending insights, card controls, and alerts. A small number of less-common operations — such as opening a new account, updating tax documents, or managing complex wire transfers — are currently best handled via Online Banking or in branch. We're continuously expanding app functionality with each release.

How do I turn on push notifications?

When you first install the app, you'll be prompted to allow notifications — tap "Allow." If you missed that prompt or declined, go to your phone's Settings app, find Najem Financial in your app list, and enable notifications there. Inside the app itself, go to Profile > Notification Preferences to choose exactly which alerts you'd like to receive and how.
